About Cristina

Cristina is a fully qualified CIPP/E and C-DPO data protection specialists coupled with over 25 years’ C level experience in the matrixed, multicultural, fast paced environments of top tier corporations (EDS/HP, BSi, General Motors and Serco) in data processing and risk management.

While at Serco, as Head of Data Governance, Cristina implemented the new data protection regulation (GDPR) across all central functions, such as HR and Procurement, and across all divisions (Defence, Justice & Immigration and Transport) covering the UK and Europe through a robust programme.
Cristina also established a Data Protection Office for a structured governance to ensure continuous support, maintenance and compliance. Furthermore, Cristina developed a sustainable training program to support compliance with the regulation.

In 2019 Cristina founded her own GDPR consulting firm, CVG Solutions ®, to support businesses at every step of their GDPR journey.

Since then, Cristina has worked with a variety of organisations from multiple industries, size and complexity including charities. Cristina has guided the implementation of GDPR processes into operational way of working and facilitated a Data Protection by Design culture. Delivered GDPR training including refresher training when required, using a variety of methods to achieve optimum results. Established clear processes for Data Breaches, Access Requests, Impact Assessments and Transfer Risk Assessments in line with the regulation and proportionate to client’s business structure. Re-engineered existing business processes to incorporate Data Protection where required. Cristina is a trusted key member of the senior leadership team in those clients where she is fulfilling the DPO role.

During her extensive career Cristina has accumulated a breath of knowledge and experience that support and compliments her GDPR consulting work.

Cristina is an avid animal lover being mum to a Great Dane, a cat and a horse.
